About Us

From a picturesque 25 acre setting, Holy Name of Mary College School is an all girls school for grades 5-12 guided by the Felician Sisters, and the Basilian Fathers of St. Michael’s College School.  Our collaborative community promotes a safe, supportive environment where students and their families are welcomed and enjoy a sense of belonging. We value the partnership of family and our community in helping students achieve their full potential, emphasizing empathy and cooperation with all.

Our girls are bright, motivated and well rounded students who are dedicated to academic and personal success. They are supportive, caring and compassionate individuals who create a warm, friendly school environment. Our girls enjoy many leadership opportunities and are encouraged to take the lead in everything we do. These experiences help our girls identify and develop their unique talents and voice. They come from diverse backgrounds and from across the GTA. Here they find a respectful, positive environment in which they can prepare to inspire our world.

Our teachers are inspiring and passionate. They are dedicated to the development and well being of every student. Small class size facilitates the development of positive relationships and the teachers’ understanding of each student’s unique abilities, resulting in the development of the students’ full academic and personal potential. Our students cite our teachers as the key feature of our school, followed closely by the warmth and friendliness of their fellow students. Our teachers recognize the importance of inspiring our students to inspire our world.

Our Catholic faith is the foundation upon which the school is built. It is the predominant factor in the development of our caring, compassionate and welcoming community. The spiritual development of each girl is integral to life at HNMCS and is supported by the Felician Sisters and SMCS. The teachings of Jesus Christ are integrated throughout the curriculum, and teachers and students model the social teachings of the Catholic Church. These teachings guide and direct our character, relationships and leadership.
