Duke of Edinburgh's Award
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is a program of self-directed activities, which inspires, guides and supports young people in their self-development and provides recognition for their achievements. Any young person between the age of 14 and 25 can participate in the Award regardless of gender, background or ability. There are three levels of Award; Bronze, Silver and Gold, which participants achieve by attaining personally established goals, in the areas of Community Service, Skill Development, Physical Recreation and Outdoor Adventure. Achievement at any level identifies a young person who is able to sustain a commitment, has developed a healthy lifestyle and an appreciation of their community and environment.
