Our Educational Ideals

As a university preparatory school, Holy Name of Mary College School has set high academic standards for our students. We are committed to creating and fostering a distinctive learning context that encourages each of our students to strive for and achieve academic excellence. We are equally devoted to the Catholic educational ideal of cultivating the holistic formation of students. This ideal, we believe, goes beyond providing disparate lessons designed to improve the body, mind, and spirit. True holistic education must help students come to an awareness
of the innumerable and complex relationships between the various facets of human character and development. We want our students to understand how these sophisticated connections influence an individual’s interactions with the world around her and her ability to define, articulate, and secure her place in that world. To that end, we have designed our curriculum to include a chapel programme and a mandatory co-curricular requirement.  The three elements  of our curriculum — the academic programme, the chapel programme, and the co-curricular programme—work together to highlight the connections and collaborations that are at the heart of a genuinely holistic education.

OUR MISSION

The mission of Holy Name of Mary College School is to educate young women to their full potential within the teachings and traditions of the Catholic faith.
