What We Want For Our Daughters
As parents we share similar dreams for our daughters.
We want our daughters to be women of faith who are thoughtful and courageous, caring and compassionate, and respectful of themselves and others.
We want them to develop strong self-esteem, to be leaders, and to learn to make difficult decisions.
We want them to use their strong voice to support what is right and to challenge and change what is wrong, to grow to be women with a strong sense of self. We want them to have a positive attitude toward learning and to value the gift and opportunity of education.
What do we want for our daughters' education?
We want a school that understands how girls learn and provides a safe and supportive environment fostering academic excellence, independence, self-confidence, creativity and critical thinking.
We want a caring, Catholic faith community with many leadership opportunities and positive role models, a community that values relationships, encourages young women to make healthy choices, and fosters a peer culture that supports these choices.
We want a school that recognizes the family and the Catholic Church as vital partners working together to help girls achieve their fullest potential. We want a school community that is committed to helping girls become leaders in their school, in their community, and in their world.
We want an education that prepares our daughters for university and for the multitude of significant roles they will have as Catholic women, today and in the future.
OUR MISSION
The mission of Holy Name of Mary College School is to educate young women to their full potential within the teachings and traditions of the Catholic faith.
