Jazlyn Borges wins at Model UN
Grade 10 student, Jazlyn Borges, won the “most passionate delegate” award at the recent Model United Nations conference held on November 18 & 19. HNMCS students from grades 9 and 10 participated in this conference held at the TCDSB Board office and hosted by St. Joseph’s Morrow Park. She represented Guinea-Bissau in the African Union.
500 students from across the GTA participated in this conference, and these students were broken into 7 committees.
All Holy Name participants were actively involved in the two-day debate that included issues like women’s rights, debt relief for developing countries, and child soldiers.
