Welcome

As you browse our website you will enjoy a small glimpse of our school life and learn how our core values provide the strong foundation on which our students develop into competent and caring young women prepared for the challenges of university and life. The photos show the joyful environment in which our students learn and some of the fun and laughter experienced when encouragement and collaboration result in the success of the individual and the team. Our students are enthusiastic and committed learners and are taught by remarkable teachers who are dedicated to the success of each child and to the development of our school.

The mission of Holy Name of Mary College School is to educate young women to their full potential within the teachings and traditions of the Catholic faith. Central to our educational philosophy is our focus on providing young women with opportunities to achieve academic excellence, supported by a full co-curricular programme in the arts, athletics, and outdoor education. Our school provides students with enriched learning experiences, positive role models, and a wide variety of leadership opportunities within a community that values relationships, connectedness and belonging. A focus on leadership prepares our students for university and for the challenges of the modern world.

At Holy Name of Mary College School, we have created a culture that supports the aspirations and efforts of each of our students. The resulting environment is one in which your daughter will learn to be confident, compassionate, and independent. We will encourage her to think deeply and critically, to communicate clearly, to probe the questions of life with a spirit of curiosity and to approach the challenges set before her with a belief in her own ability, to act with conviction and integrity.

True to our faith, our Catholic core values are integrated into the curriculum, as well as into the daily life of the school, and we are committed to social justice issues and service to others. Our students are supported in an encouraging environment which fosters empathy and cooperation with all members of the community. The Felician Sisters, the school’s founding order, bring to the school a rich history of faithful service and devotion to the ideal of educating young women. We are grateful to the Sisters and the Basilian Fathers of St. Michael’s College School for their continued commitment and support.

Sincerely,

Margaret DeCourcy
