Holy Name Houses
The House system is designed to create friendly competition, camaraderie, school spirit and a sense of community. All students are designated to a House upon arrival at Holy Name. The four Houses are named after stars (since we are the HNMCS Stars!): Bella (short for Bellatrix) means "warrioress." Chara means "joy." Electra means "bright and shining," and Nashira means "she who bears good news." Houses have opportunities to gain points for various activities throughout the year and compete to be the top House.
