Alumna Spotlight: Colleen Hayman '14

“I can truly say that Holy Name of Mary College School (HNMCS) has shaped me into the woman I am today,” says Colleen Hayman, class of 2014. “It helped me build my confidence, develop my creativity and amplified my compassion.”

Colleen is a founding student of HNMCS. Her grandfather was a founding Board member. And her mother Ruth Hayman was one of the founding members of the HNMCS Parent Association. While at HNMCS she was actively involved in amplifying school spirit and took part in St. Mike’s musicals. She brings that same sense of collaboration, teamwork and creativity to her post-secondary academic life and her new career in accounting.

After graduating from Holy Name of Mary College School in 2014, Colleen decided to study abroad and spent her first year of university at the Bader International Study Centre (Queens) in Herstmonceux, England. She returned home to Canada and transferred to Western University, where she graduated with distinction from the Ivey Business School in the spring of 2018. She is currently pursuing her Chartered Professional Accountant designation, and is working as an accountant in Deloitte’s audit group. In her spare time, Colleen finds every opportunity to continue her passion for musical theatre: a path that led her to directing her first musical at Western University this past spring.
