Another successful athletic season comes to an end with our annual athletic banquet. Over 90 athletes and coaches attended this year’s celebration which recognized members from each team for going above and beyond with their commitment to the athletic programme at HNMCS. We are proud to have fielded 18 teams this year, including the return of the Middle School and Senior School Swim teams!
A huge congratulations to Brooklyn Bryan ‘27, our U14 Athlete of the Year; to Manuela Attardo ‘25, our Junior Athlete of the Year; and to Sara Rinomato ‘23, our Senior Athlete of the Year. A special shout out to Ms. Apuzzo for winning our first ever Coach of the Year award.
For the second year in a row we also recognized our All Star Award winners. This award is given to graduating seniors who participated on a team in at least 11 of their 12 athletic seasons during their high school career. This year we recognize Sara Rinomato ‘23 and Sonya Yacynowych ‘23 for their unwavering commitment to our school’s athletic program. On top of receiving their award, we also unveiled new banners in the gym recognizing our All Star Award winners each year.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this day possible, including our outgoing Athletic Prefect Sara Rinomato ‘23 and our incoming Athletic Prefect Jennah Pieris ‘24, and the athletic council.
