Congratulations to the middle school volleyball team—Sophia Gorgiev ‘23, Brigitte Rauch ‘23, Sonya Yacynowych ‘23, Sara Rinomato ‘23, Genevieve Hordij ‘23, Victoria Mlcoch ‘23, Victoria Zhang ‘24, Julianne Lima ‘24, Sophia Violo ‘24, Leslie Wang ‘24 and Paige Johnston ‘24—for a season full of growth and learning. From a tough exhibition game vs St Mildred’s they entered the PSAA U14 tournament with confidence and a positive attitude, playing two tight games against John Knox Christian School and Kingsway College School and ending the day with a great effort and 2 set to 1 victory over Rotherglen.

With the pre-season over after a senior volleyball tournament at Mentor College on November 29, the senior school volleyball team is excited to start the regular season. Good luck girls!

On Friday December 14, the entire HNMCS community travelled to the Port Credit Arena for the fourth annual HNMCS field trip. During this exciting day, students enjoyed a morning of skating, followed by snacks and hot chocolate in the cafeteria. They also had the opportunity to participate in extreme house challenges in the afternoon, working together to find creative solutions to a variety of strategically placed photo clues. Special thanks to House Captain, Tara Kemper ‘19 and her House Heads for their outstanding work in making this day memorable for all students.
