Hamilton Catholic Children’s Aid Society Class Baskets

Senior school students adopted a family in their homerooms from the Hamilton Catholic Children’s Aids Society. Each family provided a wish list of items they would like for Christmas, and the girls were thoughtful and generous in their purchases by ensuring every item the family wished for was taken care of by one of their fellow classmates. It was eye-opening to see how some wish lists included basic essentials such as laundry detergent, clothing, cooking supplies etc. This experience allowed the girls to feel a sense of gratitude for their everyday blessings, and promoted compassion towards those who have less.

“The Catholic Children's Aid Society Christmas Hamper Drive was a great opportunity for my classmates and I to support a great organization. This allowed us to work together to give back to our community. As a class, it made us realize how fortunate we are. Through gift giving we were able to provide a family with presents to make their holiday season special,” said Victoria Migliore '20.
