"The Team with No Name" makes a name for themselves - Globally!

Destination Imagination is a creative programme that highlights STEAM. Students are given a challenge that they must collaboratively solve and perform in under 8 minutes as well as work together on an instant challenge, not known to them until the day of competition.

This year Holy Name of Mary College School's team, “The Team with No Name”, comprised of Nemine A. '27, Sofia D.‘25, Liora D.‘25, Macy G. '25, Lucy O.‘25 and Ewelina S. '25 placed first in Provincials in the Fine Arts Challenge and had the highest Instant Challenge Score of any senior level team in Ontario. Taking first place in Ontario, allowed the team to compete at Global Finals in Kansas City, where they placed 19th overall. Their creative solution to this year's challenge took 90’s music, lots of humour and creative engineering to showcase a change in Grant Wood’s famous painting, American Gothic.

Congratulations to this group of amazing young science & technology and arts students, who helped put HNMCS on the STEAM map globally. They acted as the Flag Bearers for Ontario, and had the opportunity to network with students from 600 teams from various countries around the globe and dozens of US states.
