Career Engineering Night
On Thursday, November 16, HNMCS Robotics together with Orbit Robotics hosted their second successful Engineering Career Night. Nine Engineers from different disciplines shared their stories, experience, and advice providing students with a better understanding of the many career paths open to them in engineering. Students are now excited for upcoming robotics events such as the Business Brunch and McMaster Women in STEM Day!
“The top things I wish I knew when I was in high school,” was the theme of this year’s Senior School career day, which took place on Friday November 23. Keynote speaker Natalia Kusendova, a Canadian politician elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario this year, shared her experience and provided the girls with an inspirational message about how to make their dreams and aspirations a reality. Ms. Kusendova was followed by six presenters: Alexandra Garbe (Marketing), Layla Wahbi (Communications), Josephine Comegna (Law), Shirley Ji (Finance), Eugenia Duodu (Science) and Erika Martire (Pharmacy). They each shared their top 10 things list and took part in a panel, where they answered student questions about their fields of work.
