At HNMCS, leadership opportunities are fostered at every grade level and Student Government has become a cornerstone of school life, providing multiple leadership and growth opportunities for students. Over the past 3 weeks, HNMCS has held its 2020-21 Student Government Executive and House Elections online.

Below, is the outstanding group of young women who will lead the student body over the course of the 2020-21 school year.

In addition to these positions, the students in each house elected representatives to work with the Executive Council in Athletics, Social Justice, Student Life, and Arts, as well as a Grade 8 Middle School Representative.

The outgoing Student Government extends their sincere congratulations to the newly elected members, and has already begun the mentorship process. On Friday May 1, they worked with the new Executive Council to plan a virtual passing of the torch. The entire HNMCS student body thanks this year’s Executive Team for their exceptional leadership, spirit, and positivity.

As always, the new Prefects are energetic, motivated, and unique leaders within their grades, who already have big plans for next year. We are all eagerly awaiting the reveal of their theme for the 2020-21 year!
