New Student Information

We are looking forward to seeing all our new students and families on Friday, June 13th. Here is a brief outline of the event:
11 am - 12:15 pm: Flexible arrival Registration in the foyer and then proceed to the gym for a Meet & Mingle with faculty & staff as well as other parents. You will be met by your Welcome Day Guide who will ensure you visit

• Blue Boutique for school polo shirt, athletic wear, & other spirit wear items.
• PowerSchool account set up
• School Email ID
• Guidance Counsellor for Course Selection meetings

A light lunch will be available from 11:45 am. Take this time to chat with your Guide and our staff members. We will be here till 1 pm should you have any questions about September

Note: Students will need to bring in their laptops to get set up in PowerSchool, email. etc.

Planning is already underway for a fantastic 2025-26 school year and there will be so many opportunities to learn & grow. This is what makes HNMCS such a terrific place for students. Our regular schedule begins on Wednesday, September 3rd. The school day begins promptly each day at 8:30 am and students are required to be at school by 8:20 am so they have adequate time to prepare for class. We do understand that sometimes buses are late and there are traffic delays, so please ensure your daughter checks at the Main Office upon arrival.

The day ends at 3:30 pm Monday-Thursday and at 3:00 pm on Fridays.

At Holy Name of Mary College School, the school uniform is worn as a symbol of school pride and community respect. Top Marks (based in Montreal), an extremely reputable Canadian manufacturer of school uniforms, is our exclusive school uniform provider. All pieces of the school uniform (with the exception of the athletic wear) can only be purchased through Top Marks.

Top Marks information package will be available on Welcome Day. Details regarding the school uniform policy are included in the Family Handbook.

The HNMCS Book List for 2025-26 will be available at Welcome Day, and will reside here following that.

A key part of our programme is the integration of technology to supplement curriculum. Encouraging the use of technology in everyday activities develops creativity, challenges students to seek new forms of learning and collaboration, and builds digital citizenship. HNMCS is a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) school and requires that all students come prepared with a fully charged device each and every day. More information is in our Family Handbook.

The HNMCS Student Services department provides resources to students to ensure that the needs of the whole girl are being addressed. The focus of this department is helping students take ownership of their learning through various in school supports. Throughout the year, students will meet with their various support personnel, but recommendations can also be made by teachers for these services or through students reaching out directly.

The Co-Curricular programme is integrated in the school on a four days per week rotation schedule. The life skills developed in these activities promote relationship building and teamwork, and enhance each student’s understanding of her abilities and responsibilities as part of the school community and the broader social community.

The Co-curricular Programme at HNMCS runs 3 cycles throughout the year and includes a wide range of clubs, sports and activities. During the first weeks of school, students will have the opportunity to sign up for the fall session of the co-curricular programme.

Attridge Transportation is our primary service provider. Routes for the 2025-26 school year will be developed over the summer and circulated by Attridge once finalised (typically in August).

We currently offer bus transportation from Brampton, Etobicoke, Milton, Mississauga, Oakville, Toronto and Woodbridge. With enough interest, other areas can potentially be serviced.

All athletic wear can be purchased exclusively through our school store, Blue Boutique, located on the main floor of the school building. Blue Boutique also carries the HNMCS Polo shirt, and a selection of optional spirit wear items and other school related products.

On Welcome Day, Blue Boutique will be open from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm for athletic & spirit wear purchases.

HNMCS is excited to offer a full range of dining options available through our food service provider, Chartwells. The all-inclusive lunch programme will offer a variety of hot meal options or freshly prepared sandwiches and salads as an alternative choice, plus a sweet treat and a variety of naturally infused flavoured waters with a focus on health, wellness, and on-trend foods the girls will look forward to each day.

We are looking forward to the 2025-26 school year and all of the amazing opportunities that your daughter will have as a student at HNMCS. Next year, we have exciting outdoor education and educational travel opportunities that will help extend the learning that your daughter does in the classroom to the world beyond.

Outdoor education is something we believe wholeheartedly in at HNMCS and we look forward to all students from Grades 7-12 participating in Camp Wanakita next year. Our 7-10’s will attend as campers and our 11 and 12’s as leaders in the school return to Camp Wanakita.

Students in Grades 7 & 9 will attend Camp Arowhon during the first week of school where they will get a chance to make new friends. There are no costs for outdoor education experiences.
