Mission & Heritage Week 2020

Mission and Heritage week at HNMCS is an opportunity for the girls to reflect on the meaningful influence Felician and Basilian history has had on their school community. From October 4th to 10th, the Outreach team created purposeful tasks for HNMCS students to participate in each day of the week that focused on our core values of: Respect, Justice, Compassion, and Transformation. During our school wide assembly, the students and staff reflected on this year’s theme focused on “Reclaiming the Vision”, where they were reminded of God’s vision and unique purpose for each of us in His divine plan.

Leading up to Mission and Heritage week, the staff and school community participated in a food and hygiene drive. At the end of the week, HNMCS Faculty joined together to prepare over 350 food and hygiene kits combined to serve the St. Felix patrons in downtown Toronto.

Lastly, our thanksgiving liturgy with Fr. Neiman tied together the importance of seeing God’s goodness around us, and recognizing how blessed we are to belong to a school community that inspires and supports one another.
