On Friday, September 16th, we welcomed the HNMCS Community to our campus for the annual Welcome Back BBQ event, which we were able to do in-person after a two-year hiatus. The BBQ was an opportunity for our families to come together and celebrate the start of the new school year. They also had the opportunity to connect with their daughter's teachers.

Student Government created many games & activities for the students, and they a wonderful time taking part in them, though the Cakewalk was a clear favourite. The entire event had a carnival feel to it with face painting, snow cones, popcorn and other games of chance.

The event, hosted by the Parent Association, was well attended and the burgers, hot dogs, etc. from GTA Caterers were delicious. Thank you to the donors and sponsors who made the event possible. Sponsors included:

Donations were also received from anonymous donors, as well as a generous donation from Vito & Christiane Rizzuto & Family. The Welcome Back BBQ raised funds to support the HNMCS Parent-Association and will be applied to priority areas of the School.
